The worst news possible was just released by one of the biggest names in the Anime Industry.

Manabu Otsuka the President of MAPPA said "Japanese animation studios should lead with global perspective".

This means their focus is catering towards a modern and global audience over just Japan. The very thing we all feared would happen for years.

MAPPA has signed a exclusive deal with Netflix to release anime on their platform with this ideology and the picture below is their statement

Recently Hideaki Anno "Evangelion" Director, KADOKAWA CEO, and SAO Director said anime shouldn't focus on Global fans.

Anime became popular because it was focusing on the Japanese. Shifting it away from that will lose the very reason anime has grown as much as it has.

Good. People like Hasan and Destiny dont “debate”. They want to call you wrong and spew a bunch of quickly said stuff and constantly derail. That isn’t “debate”. None of these people know how to actually debate.

I also made the mistake in 2024 of thinking people cared about “conversation”. They dont. People also eager to “mediate” arent in it for love of craft, they want the youtube money. Now, thats perfectly fine, nothing wrong with getting your green. I dont care. But thats not me. This is why i dont “invite anyone” for chats or tell people to include me in that anymore.

None of these leftists want to discuss or debate or even risk “looking wrong”. They want to leech off platforms and espouse nonsense. They wont even be objective in their own safe little echo chambers, how are they going to do it live elsewhere?
