The PGA Tour is at Riviera this week, which means it's time to dust off the oral history I did a few years back on the greatest NCAA Championship of all-time.

Everyone knows the Crump Cup is the GOAT of mid-am golf. One of the coolest parts of the event comes after a player gets knocked out or doesn’t qualify: they’re entered into an alternate-shot competition and paired up as a team. It’s a fun tradition that builds real camaraderie among the players.

He played his regular Sunday game at the muni he grew up on. With some middle age guys he’s been playing w for years.
Miles Russell, the top-ranked player in the Class of 2027 and one of the most highly regarded recruits in years, has verbally committed to...

Huge get for the Noles as the Jacksonville Beach, Florida, native stays instate.
It's the Open because it's meritocratic. Anyone can win, even a kid weaned on a 9 hole par 3 muni, who had to walk-on at San Diego State, who had to put up his own cash to play the mini tours, and who was never sure he was quite good enough until he showed himself he was #USOpen
