The newly appointed Buurhakaba District Commissioner Abdullahi Shaleetey named by Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen, and the Security Minister of his administration have announced an amnesty for prisoners captured during yesterday’s fighting in Buurhakaba, Somalia’s Bay region.
I strongly condemn the election timetable that was announced today. This unilateral move risks creating parallel elections in the country, political instability, civil unrest and threatens the existence of Somali State.
BREAKING: Justice and Solidarity Party (JSP) Secretary General resigns in scathing statement, accusing Somalia’s President of turning the party and state into a “one‑man show.”
In a March 25 departure, he cited:
1. Centralized power
2. Mishandled constitutional amendments
3. Unilateral 2026 election push
4. “Destructive” policy toward Federal Member States
5. “Legal outrage” – restricting lawmakers’ travel

Al-Shabab are not freedom fighters, they are a criminal enterprise hiding behind religion.
They groom children with a calculated 12-chapter indoctrination script: 3 chapters glorifying “jihad,” 4 chapters belittling the value of this world, 3 chapters planting self-hate until youth despise life and themselves, and 2 chapters selling fake fantasies of paradise and rewards.
This blueprint, many argue, mirrors narratives long shaped by powerful imperialist institutions to keep Africa unstable and exploitable. This is not liberation, it’s psychological warfare manufacturing disposable fighters.
African intellectuals must interrogate these movements independently, expose the manipulation, and reject both extremist propaganda and recycled western narratives .
amendments made to it are null and void.

#UPDATE: Jubaland and Puntland Leaders Expected to Hold Key Political Meeting in Nairobi
A high-level political meeting is expected to take place later this week—on either Thursday or Friday—in Nairobi, Kenya, between Jubaland President Ahmed Madobe and Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni.
The two Federal Member State leaders have been vocal critics of the current political direction pursued by the Federal Government of Somalia. Their main concerns include:
1.The process of constitutional amendments
2.The framework for upcoming national elections
3.The structure of power-sharing and federal governance
The meeting is widely believed to be aimed at forging a unified political stance on these contentious issues. It is seen as an effort to strengthen regional cooperation and present a coordinated response to the federal government’s approach, particularly on matters that have sparked political disputes.
The United States has categorically refused to provide financial support to the African Union’s new peacekeeping mission in #Somalia, pushing the already fragile operation closer to collapse.
