SON: Mummy! Some people from the Enterprise are DEAD!
ME: Were they wearing red shirts?
SON: ... Yes?
ME: Yeah, that happens.

@HDLibraries (Wondering what it says about me that it took me a while to recognise this as an umbrella. Sincerely thought it was a model of a bacteriophage traversing some weird blue thing...)
@GameSack@lyanthropos @theErikAllan @mouselike12@dotdotcurrve@Discordapp I could give permission (via SysPref > Security/Privacy > Accessibility; doing a drag+drop from Discord app's opened package) but the 'Not Responding' and high CPU usage problems persist, for me.
@HDLibraries I didn’t read it right. Not all of it. It was only on my fifth revision of the plaque that I realised it wasn’t in fact claiming to mark the residence of someone who shared their name with a famous author but only lived four years.
@StarTrek I’d have Spock and Data so I could watch their existential crises as they try to out-logic and out-correct each other, and I’d have McCoy for the acerbic commentary...leaving $5 leftover for snackies.
@wattpad If the story was suspense, or a psychological thriller, it would have to be read by James Spader. He could make a sunny day on an island beach sound like a threat.
Last night I dreamed Raymond Reddington wore a black ski mask for a day, to stay ‘current’ and ‘relevant’ in the criminal underworld.
My unconscious mind is gauche.

@wattpad Accidentally crashed a car into a high security prison in another country, making me miss my suprise birthday party. Prosecuted by the state, but pro bono lawyer got my case thrown out on a technicality—taking even the judge by surprise! (Prosecution had worded the charge wrong.)
Imagine heat clawing your face as your custom-made home burns to the ground. You want to close your eyes against the sting of smoke, but horror locks them wide.
Then enters @Vaultpress!

Y'know the ocean-sound inside a seashell? I wanted to illustrate its rejuvenating effect amidst comparatively lifeless infrastructure. ... Then it just seemed fitting to make it [fictitious] CD album art.

I don't care how many slides, frames, or whatsits a playground has. It's not complete until there's a nearby coffee source for all the bored mums who find playgrounds as entertaining as syphilis.
Photomanipulation ostensibly about winter, New Zealand, and...music, maybe. Really just an excuse to play with such an inviting initial image. As you can see, I like being nonsensical with scale. Is the bass exceptionally big, or exceptionally small?
