Our annual pre Christmas Fairtade Fayre will take place in the Parish centre of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and St George RC Church, London Road Enfield on Sunday 16th November from 10am to 1.30pm. Plenty of Fairtade gifts,plus Fairtade Coffee & Teas & some pastries. All are welcome

US sanctions Burmese military telecoms company Mytel. Tell the British government to do the same and to step up other sanctions to cut off revenue, arms and jet fuel to the Burmese military. https://t.co/9MhaSPk7W0

It’s deeply disappointing that the Chancellor’s Spring Statement confirms that the aid budget is being cut immediately.

When aid budgets are cut, more people die. After the chaos caused by immediate USAID withdrawals, we had hoped the UK could maintain its budget until 2027, to give communities affected longer to prepare.

We are praying for all the people hit hardest by this change.

I just contacted my MP to oppose the UK aid cuts. The budget is now at its lowest level since 1999, meaning more people will die and many more will lose their livelihoods. This is scandalous. @CAFOD is calling for urgent action. https://t.co/0J5UOW0IoB
