Dona Makena, a young woman caring for her younger siblings, and her father have allegedly been assaulted by teachers at Forest Primary School in Kiminini Constituency, Trans Nzoia County.
The incident reportedly began with a disagreement between Makena and headteacher David Simiyu over lunch fees for her younger brother. According to accounts, the confrontation escalated when other teachers joined in and the pair was locked inside the staffroom.
Makena, who had previously undergone a Caesarean section, alleges that she was kicked until she began bleeding, with her hands tied during the assault.
The claims have raised public concern and prompted calls for a thorough investigation.
