So how is Cook Well different?

1) I’ll argue it is the cleanest recipe experience on the internet and if it’s not yet, we’ll get there.

2) We will need to integrate some ads…but the future state of the business will not be dependent on ad revenue. We plan to make physical products and build a Cook Well application that will make home cook’s lives easier. We already have so many ideas for features we can build.

3) This is my favorite part. We’ve integrated what we call the ‘Fundamentals’ of cooking into recipes as components. If you take a look at the photo below here are some examples:

INGREDIENT FEATURES

- Flavor Tags that help explain what an ingredient is doing in the recipe.

- There’s also a shopping view the reorganizes the ingredients by grocery sections when you are in the store so you can get all items at once.

METHOD FEATURES

- Reaction Tags explain when a specific reaction is occurring that is important for the dish

- Technique Tags explain when a common technique is being used which will pop up in all sorts of recipes.

I’m so pumped to finally have this open to public and can’t wait to share more as we build this and make it better. The next several years are going to be so much fun.
