Thinking about hiring a financial advisor?
Use BrokerCheck to see if a financial firm or representative has ever been disciplined for misconduct.
Oh, and if you look someone up and they aren't on BrokerCheck... You probably shouldn't be taking investment advice from them 🤷🏻♂️
If you have an LLC or Corporation, you must register it with FinCEN in 2024.
Penalties for not filing are $500 PER DAY.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to register:
If you have:
→ ISOs / NSOs / RSUs
→ Over $1m in liquid investments
→ Young children
→ No estate plan
→ Insufficient insurance
→ Multiple LP investments
→ Six figures in crypto
→ No tax planning
You need a financial planner -- full stop
Estate planning has become one of my favorite planning areas because you learn so much about clients.
I've uncovered crucial information in estate discussions because clients unknowingly share things they didn't think were relevant but actually made a huge difference.

@madninja@amirhaleem Gentlemen, thank you for building @helium_mobile It is truly an incredible network built with cutting edge technology! I have shared Helium Mobile with several people and they all love it. We have noticed a gap in your customer service, and have a solution
Has anyone ever seen the "Personal Income Spending Flowchart" from r/personalfinance?
It's pretty great.
How many people would benefit from simply following this logic?
Step 0. Budget & reduce expenses, set goals
Step 1. Build an emergency fund
Step 2. Employer-sponsored matching funds
Step 3. Pay down high/moderate interest debt
Step 4. Save for retirement via IRA, save for other goals
Step 5. Save more for retirement
Step 6. Save for other goals, advanced methods
All else equal, it's hard to argue with the playbook laid out here...
@TroyTheFIREGuy That new structure is getting us away from monolithic, centralized business models that are top down. And will become more democratic, inclusive, and bottom up. It is a much better structure, and when it becomes more user friendly. The network effect will be very strong.
@TroyTheFIREGuy Troy, we are very early on the “Crypto” narrative. But it also has more to do with the intersection of new technologies such as Cryptography, Blockchain, and Distributed Ledgers. This intersection of new technologies will lead us to a new economic model, and business structures.
2/ Why can't I see and/or claim my MOBILE rewards in the Helium Mobile app?
Helium Mobile is part of the @solana ecosystem, and MOBILE reward transactions are processed on the Solana blockchain ⛓️.
There's been a lot of activity on Solana lately! And when blockchains experience high traffic, some transactions can process slower than others. In this case, it’s affecting transactions having to do with MOBILE rewards.
I've met Real Financial Professionals all around the world.
It's almost like a secret society.
They’re out there, doing amazing work. And yet, almost nobody knows they exist.
That’s probably because Real Financial Professionals tend to be outnumbered by the sleazy used car salespeople of the financial industry.
Friends, you know EXACTLY who and what I’m talking about.
I don’t even have to describe them.
My goal with The Manifesto is to provide a blueprint for everyone out there who wants to flip the script.
Here’s the ethos of this book in a single sentence:
A Real Financial Professional is a guide in a changing landscape, not the defender of an outdated map.
Today, I have a handful of copies of The Manifesto to send to you. I want it in your hands!
Get the book you cannot buy while you can...

@WhaleWire That is a lot of money for one transaction. But there are no “Bitcoin buildings”, or “Bitcoin Employees”. This is the true cost of doing things completely decentralized with no centralized infrastructure. So how expensive is it really? 🧐#Bitcoin
I get asked almost everyday what my "tech stack is"
So I thought I would redo my thread on this as what I use has changed a lot over the last year
Here are my 9 favorite pieces of tech we use in our business:
