"Love is not love. God is love and love is what the God who is love says it is. Love is neither self-existent nor self-defined. God alone is self-existent and all true love comes from Him and is determined by Him."

“Anyone who believes that the God on the left side of the book is the angry guy, and the God on the right side of the book is meek… gracious… read all the way to the right side of the book!” – Voddie Baucham
An excellent thread from @albertmohler on the Truth and Unity Amendment. If you're going to the Annual SBC Meeting this June, please vote in favor of this necessary addition to the SBC Constitution. SDG.
It is for the cause of our unity in the truth that I intend to bring a motion to the Southern Baptist Convention in Orlando to amend the Constitution of the Southern Baptist Convention: “that the messengers to the Southern Baptist Convention meeting in June 2026 amend the Constitution of the SBC to add an enumerated 6th item, under Article 3, Paragraph 1, defining composition… (1/7)

"[1] Not to us, O Yahweh, not to us, but to Your name give glory because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your truth.
[2] Why should the nations say, "Where, now, is their God?"
[3] But our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases."

We are headed into a prolonged era of systemic epistemological retardation. The sad but inevitable next step in the post post-modernism/moral subjectivism zeitgeist, coinciding with an era of The Church not taking discipleship seriously. Neither side will be immune.
The Left in total will believe every official narrative uncritically since they control the institutions, and seek to impose those narratives by any means necessary. Significant segments of the Right will reject them all, regardless of any objective evidence presented, as a reaction to that — and seek out increasingly radicalized gnostics grifters to feed their overall suspicions.
The only vaccine to the contagion will be a Biblical worldview, because without it you will think either you are the truth, or truth is nowhere to be found.
We are gonna painfully learn the definition of a narrow road.
@RevivedThoughts Awesome. I understand the changes that come with moving for Bible college/seminary; I moved from East TN to Chicago to complete my undergrad at Moody Bible Institute.
@PartBaptist Samuel Renihan's "The Mystery of Christ, His Covenant, and His Kingdom" is an excellent, modern, and accessible summary of 1689 Federalism.
I concur:
"Only keep yourself and keep your soul very carefully, lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. But make them known to your sons and to your grandsons."
-Deuteronomy 4:9 (LSB)
If students can handle learning about algebra, chemistry, geometry, biology, & history...
They can also handle learning about Christology, repentance, faith, sanctification, & the great commission!
Don't hold back the young minds that God created to muse upon His greatness.
@Toneskeee Just got back from Nashville, where I had a number 1 meal from In-N-Out. I would easily rate it a 7.5/10, just above Cookout and Freddy's. In my opinion, Culver's is still the best.
SDG.
Why is it so hard for us to understand the depth of our sin?
Watch as @RCSproul explains the Holy Spirit’s merciful work of convicting us as we understand the holiness of God.
