"Traditional-identity cultures" motivate with fear, threat, or criticism but "Gospel-identity cultures" motivate with love, grace, and gratitude. As leaders, either one gets results, and our flesh gravitates to traditional, but God's Spirit can change us!
If my theological positions aren't making me more like Jesus Christ, it may be wise to re-consider my positions. In other words, if you are becoming more divisive, angry, petty, and arrogant instead of more gentle, loving, kind, and humble - something is wrong!
Our commission is to follow Jesus and love others to Him.
We win, not by conquest, but by compassion.
Our's is a mission of truth in love, not truth by force.
Many are perplexed today—perfect soil for the seed of the gospel and the authentic love of a true Jesus-follower.
