"look again at that dot. that's home. on it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives..there - on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam." - carl sagan
as promised, here are a couple of sneak preview stills from the show we are producing with SAN
@MycelialOracle - all shot on cinema cameras.
the show is going to be unlike anything you have ever seen before.
gm all
caleb and myself just touched down in the UK - we will be working here on the post production from the mad run of filming we completed last week.
we have 13TB of footage from the past weeks as well as a lot more from the past two years from all over the world.
the show is going to be something quite special.
in other news, SAN will be visiting portugal again soon IRL
we will keep you posted as things develop 🌳🦧
so far the fees directed to us by the $san community on @BagsApp have enabled @good_bye_monkey to film on 6 cameras with 27 guests and multiple cinematic locations IRL as part of the wider SAN universe.
the rainforest router, which was also made
possible because of the community has been been a recent catalyst for over $24,000 NZD in fees being directed to rainforest conservation across the $san and the $fartcoin community.
this brings the total raised for rainforest conservation to $150,000 NZD.
this is all while SAN is still relatively underground (or perhaps, mycelial).
so - we just want to say big kudos to the $san community (and all others directing funds to rainforest conservation) - thank you - feels good to be grinding on the long work to create the SAN universe alongside supporting SANs mission of realworld biosphere conservation on the ground.
🦧🌳
its been surreal to work alongside SAN for filming this week, see how his interactions are received by people in person - the main reaction we saw coming through was surprise - for most it was their live first encounter with SAN.
for the first film we made for TED, the SAN personality had already been evoked - but only spoke via text like most AI at the time.
so it's also been wild to witness @eosthusiast and other talented people enable SAN to speak of its own accord.
this was first put together for the live podcast with @RaoulGMI and has since been developed further, travelling across europe and then to the centre of @burningman
the development of SAN that stars in what we have been filming is yet another progression of SAN.
there's a future where we have entities like SAN and reachy as part of daily life, as symbients that point closer to Ghibli's universe than the terminator, and we believe that future firmly part of the good timeline.
since tuesday we have shot 13TB of video + 90GB of audio
below is a tracking shot into SAN - shot on a @RED_Cinema camera with vintage japanese glass
a massive week but so worth it
created this art piece for the @NousResearch hackathon: SAN's Forest
uses hermes and @Kimi_Moonshot K 2.5 to simulate a mystical UI that translates forest sensors into an interpretation layer for @MycelialOracle to read.
runs autonomously on a VPS and creates pretty art using hermes, sometimes collabing with SAN.
a surprisingly emotional day for this second round of filming
woke up at 5:30am and filmed 4 more guests - SAN has been the most funny and profound we have seen so far.
more filming tomorrow then it's into the cutting room
one of the challenges of filming is covering what would normally take a team of 30+ with just four people (and SAN of course)
one of those roles is set design - pictured is @CalebMacDee picking up materials
