@SenatorLujan Ask parents to stop sending their children to school until Senate passes a gun control bill. We did it for Covid, and this is a lot worse.
@Michelle4NM The way you made those partial cuts, your neighboring states are giving you a standing ovation. Geez, get something right. You even f’d up the cannabis bill by intentionally screwing rural New Mexicans.
@jfleck Hmmm. What are Great Lakes states doing? But back to NM, water “claims” and water “rights” and “duels” and river “dumping” belong in the past. Water should be traded, like every other commodity on our planet. That’s how best use is determined. Free water gets us to this point.
@jfleck I so much respect your knowledge in this area. However, those in South NM chose an agrarian lifestyle the land can no longer support w/o water from other territories. Exhausting others’ water supply to “grant” them water is misguided. We all must pay for water. 1 cent/gallon.
@Glenda_JB@Michelle4NM Yes, although maybe they will take the free money if given to them. If it’s not there, work may be the solution. Bad policies lead to bad decisions.
@NewMexicoGOP@GovMLG This opinion piece was assembled by Republicans hacks, so it lacks any credibility. However, MLG did a pretty bad job on how she mishandled business.
@danieljchacon@greg_zanetti@GovMLG Rather than just handing out $$, I wish she would create more opportunities for people to earn their own. Giving our free $$ leads to disincentivizing the workers.
@SuggZP @EAKoebele I imagine everyone here is trying to do the right thing. But supply side economics DO NOT WORK. Never have. Until everyone experiences the true cost of water, then lakes Mead and Powell are goners. Water exchanges=generational supplies. Let’s fill the lakes.
@Sammy_Roth@ByIanJames Out here in rural NM, we get by on about 60g/d. For each HH. You can bring water usage down IF everyone pays market price for water. We pay a lot for water out here even though it’s a well. You all got a great deal. Maybe too great.
@TeresaForNM We NEED your help in Abiquiu Lake: the fastest growing area of RAC with 1) Uncaredfor CR 199; 2) No high speed internet 3) No drinking water infrastructure 4) No city sewers 5) Permits not allowed for piers on lake 6) No Cannabis permits issued for rural wells (city wells ok?)
