BREAKING: Abdul El-Sayed and William Lawrence will cross-endorse in Michigan. El-Sayed is running for senate while Lawrence is running for house in MI-7.
In a crowded race, this backing for Lawrence from the leading candidate for senate is sure to consolidate the progressive vote for him.
Happy Election Day Michigan and Missouri!! Make sure to go out and vote for @DonavanMI13 and @CoriBush !
You deserve leaders in Congress who’ll fight for policies that will change your lives like Medicare for All, universal childcare, a higher minimum wage, affordable housing, and an end to the corporate price gouging that is crushing working-class people. That’s exactly who Donavan and Cori are.
🇺🇸 NY-07 Democratic nominee Claire Valdez endorses William Lawrence in Michigan congressional race
DSA-backed Valdez praised Lawrence for fighting corporate greed, citing his opposition to AI data-center developers displacing communities and private-equity firms evicting families.
Lawrence said they would work together to “stop these endless wars” and redirect federal spending toward housing and healthcare.
AIPAC secretly dumped more than $50 million into primary races across the country – including $30 million in the Michigan primary alone, against Abdul El-Sayed.
But you wouldn’t know it since the ads are run by their super PAC “United Democracy Project,” and don’t even mention Israel.
We uncovered AIPAC’s shady tactics to sway critical elections as it falls out of favor with American voters.
Thank you to all those who reached out asking about my safety. I am home. But I cannot get the stories of the indignities Palestinian face out or my head. I am still processing it and wanted to share some of what I saw.
American media and politicians claim that new legislation does NOT merge the U.S. and Israeli militaries. Meanwhile Netanyahu, who has taken credit for proposing the measure, clearly says it does:
“Will that drawing down of foreign aid be compensated by the proposal to have a merging of some sort between our Pentagon and your military?"
"Yeah, I'm calling it, 'From aid to partnership.’”
He then lays out what it would look like:
would just like to point out how bleak it is that an 84-year-old senator released a proof-of-life photo of himself holding a current copy of the newspaper
@RoKhanna@ninaburleigh U.S. Congressman Ro Khanna said he was detained by Israeli settlers during his visit to the West Bank. If this is how a U.S. member of Congress is treated during a short visit, imagine what Palestinians endure under occupation every single day.
Israeli settlers, brandishing American made M4s, detained me & other Americans on my trip to Palestine.
When the IDF arrived, they sided with the settlers & continued our detention.
They made a huge mistake.
You will be hearing more soon. https://t.co/rZw8bRAn64
I first met @AbdulElSayed through our dear friend Ady Barkan, who died of ALS while courageously crusading for Medicare for All, and there is no one who will work harder than Abdul to win that fight. We need Abdul in the Senate to end the reign of billionaires and special interests, so Congress can deliver for working people.
Abdul and I will also be partners in resetting U.S. foreign policy to achieve a just peace for Palestinians and Israelis, beginning by ending U.S. military aid to Israel while it violates international law and Palestinian human rights. We share the belief that the rights and safety of Jewish and Muslim people are inextricably intertwined, from the Midwest to Midtown to the Middle East.
