A'ric Jackson with Generation Leadership co-facilitated our 2022 Youth Mentoring and Leadership Academy training with Sylvia Garner of PURE Empowerment Seminars. The theme for the weekend is “Connecting and Reconnecting with Self, Peers and Chaperones Post Pandemic.”

At the 2022 Youth Mentoring & Leadership Academy conference 20 youth were awarded California PAL San Jose Sharks Leaders scholarships which includes additional leadership training throughout the school year! Big thank you to @SanJoseSharks for funding the scholarships!

We started off the Youth Mentoring & Leadership Academy (YMLA) conference with some fun icebreakers led by the 2020 Youth Directors Council Alum, Gabby Salmeron and Eddie Fabi. Chaperones and youth leaders happily played along!

On Saturday, September 10 this year’s California PAL Youth Mentoring & Leadership Academy (YMLA) conference kicked off at the Great Wolf Lodge in Anaheim! Big thank you to participating PALs and SALs for bringing 100 chaperones and youth leaders to the YMLA event!

Big thanks to Larry Lewis and Kenny Alvarado for representing California PAL at the @SanJoseSharks Foundation Goals For Kids check presentation! For each goal the Sharks score Goals for Kids donates $1,000 to Bay area non-profits. They’re at $181,000 and counting! Go Sharks!

We are excited to see the goal count rise as they have raised $126,000 so far through the 2021-22 Goals for Kids program – which means at least $18,000 donated to California PAL! 😊
