I don't attack the religion or the personal beliefs, I attack the shitty talking points espoused. If I'm not going to accept religious violence from my enemies I won't from my "allies" either. You can think whatever you want but you can't stand on your platform and point to others in uniform, whom you are meant to lead and guide and support, and make them your target.
I hold this equally across the board.
Mine are different and his are bad but it extends beyond his politics and into how he, a leader in the Pentagon and with multiple interactions with Sec Def, actively tries to paint soldiers (and humans in general) that don't meet his narrow view as unworthy. It's not about protecting troops or war fighting, it's about othering and belittling.
@TheArmedLiberal Stigma is a pretty big difference, no one calls diabetics freaks or politiciaez and demonizes their very being.
Management is different as well, do they need medication? Yes.
Are the health threats the same? Absolutely not.
@TheArmedLiberal Primarily health concerns and medication access, the extremes of military training will have a devastating effect on a diabetic 's ability to perform.
These are not comparable
@TheArmedLiberal Type 2 diabetics can serve if they develop it while in service (as can those with gestational diabetes) . Type 1s are not able to serve.
@TheArmedLiberal People that would discount the lived experiences of gay/trans service members, people that would have successful soldiers removed from service based on their sexual orientation, people that would espouse religious extremism for one group while spitting on others
Consistent posting that acts like a foghorn for shitty people, appeals to religious extremism in his court while putting others down, putting his service on a pedestal while cooling his heels behind a desk and posting all day, foghorn-ing trying to get SecDef's open News seat for his after retirement gig
@NoZoup You've posted in support of Jan 6 insurrectionists; I have vocally opposed people (especially in uniform) promoting values not in line with the Army Values
