@asana I discovered Asana while researching task mgmt systems for a job years ago.
I'm still using Asana nearly 10 years later.
It just...works.
And the new Chrome extension works really, really well. The old Gmail add on was fine, but the extension is 😎
@TeamTurboTax I've tried accessing my account through Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, all of which are up to date, and I've gotten this message every single time. What's going on?
@ProfFrancesca I’m listening to your book, God, and am in the chapter about divine feet and wow! Your ability to conjure up the numinous and engender fellow-feeling with the ancients is remarkable. It’s an excellent listen so far!
@Marie_Haynes Honest question: why does Quora continue to rank? The UX is so bad and spammy that I can't remember the last time I found it useful; it's much harder to find info there than on notorious recipe sites that lead with rambling stories.
@asana whoever is writing the text for your app updates in the iOS store deserves a raise. Quoting Whitman and talking about Meat Lovers Pizza in a single paragraph?
@WilburWildcat2 @Super70sSports As I mentioned in above, this site is in reference to fleet vehicles specifically, so not totally germane to the larger discussion, not to mention the fact that I didn't find any information on their site about parking lots or backing in; you still haven't provided evidence.
@campbe14425505@winkgnz@flairskins@Kreskin_17@Super70sSports It should be noted that this blog post refers specifically to fleet vehicles, so it’s not necessarily representative of general population. And the linked OSHA study is about worksites.
@WeirdTalesPod@afrocosmist@Kmindovina Genuinely asking, but toxicity is so often about dosage. I can ingest a certain amount of, say, formaldehyde (bad example I know) but larger doses of it in concentrated form could be harmful. Water in the air is typically pretty diffuse, isn’t it?
Oh man the latest @screamingfrog update is soooo good. The segments tool is super cool, but the updates to the custom extractions let you use the inbuilt browser to select the element (so I can stop trying to futz around with XPATH): https://t.co/cFFw5PVlBI
Just finished Charades episode of #strangenewworlds#stsnw and I’m so glad Jess Bush’s chapel is getting really good stories, she’s amazing. Let’s get some more Ortegas episodes, @melissaCnavia is such a great presence on the show!
@NortonSupport how can I get rid of #NortonUninstaller? I got it to get rid of the antivirus program and now the Uninstaller is stuck on my computer, keeps prompting me to update despite the fact that I want to get rid of it altogether.
The ever insightful @aleyda shares important info here.
Are we about to see a deeper "Amazonification" of the SERPS, as they become more like PDPs but point to competing retailers?
This first round definitely feels like the early stages of what will eventually be a big shift.
If you're in Ecommerce or do Ecommerce SEO for established retailer you want to read this: Another likely consequence of Google's SGE based on its current interface in Beta: Established Brand retailers PLPs will lose organic search traffic that *won't* likely only go to their own PDPs (!) ... but also to other online stores offering the product. This is traffic that they pretty much owned, going to the brand retail PLP. Here's why:
If you do SEO for an established retail brand you know how important branded searches are, a very *high* share of the organic search traffic will come from: [Brand Name] + [Product Line/Category Name], eg: Nike Sneakers, North Face Hoodie. These queries will be ranked in top positions by the brand online store relevant categories/PLPs easily. It's pretty much traffic they have historically "own" and little need to optimize for. But now? Not so much.
Google is generating a PLP like experience in the SGE snapshot directly, with an overall product description and showing the relevant brand products directly there in a clickable product carousel like format... but when you click on any of the brand products, it shows a product knowledge panel that won't only show results from the PDPs of the "brand" site, it will show also PDPs from any online stores/ditributors/etc. that also offer those brand products and optimize their feeds/structured data well to appear there.
Now that commercial, mid funnel, branded organic search traffic that used to go to major brand retail PLPs? A good share of it will be spread across its own PDPs as well as third party online stores PDPs that offer them and optimize them well 😅
Ecommerce: This is the time to optimize your PDPs! 🫡
