@Eduardobob6 @Felipe32547421 @Kaorumitsurugi I know how to draw and sculpt, made anatomically correct ecorches over a decade ago. Nothing in that image is hard or impressive. Bad proportions, anatomy, shading. FF12 on the other hand, is really well made.

@Phantasmerie For retro (not normal maps and PBR).
You hand paint the models, with hints of shadows.
Then bake a light map from preferred lighting setup. Put it on top of the color map as soft light/overlay. Adjust strength of shadow/light by using the lightmap itself as a mask.

@ShitpostRock2 On top of lower resolution, 256 colors, chromatic aberration, curved display, horizontal blur, crt lines. The tileset also needs to align with a grid. Unless the tiles are really small some of the features in this image look implausible. Or like they're assembled in photoshop.
