Advanced practice providers play an expanding role in acute care surgery. A national survey of ACS programs (including @UpennTrauma’s @neilsmd) found 96% have daytime APP coverage, but fewer than half provide nighttime coverage. Findings highlight opportunities to better define APP staffing, training, workload & clinical roles across trauma, SCC and EGS.

Miley Cyrus & Dolly Parton singing I Will Always Love You x Wrecking Ball. Their last performance together and one of the greatest performances ever.
Remembering the late, great Dolly, who brought joy, comfort and inspiration to so many - including the millions of children given free books through her Imagination Library. We will always ❤️ you.
@SyedAAhmad5 From the article figure legend: “The steeper decline for physicians who are women reveals a rate of earlier clinical career exit … difference in clinical career length for … women (median of 9 years)…men (median of 12 years) was statistically significant (log-rank, P = .006).”
@TJCoats@SyedAAhmad5 From the article, “The mean age of physicians who left clinical practice was 48.1 years, 9 years younger than observed in a similar cohort in 2008.” That is a distressing finding especially in women who represented a higher percentage who had left.
