Keep the A's in Oakland where they belong!
@TimCowlishaw people generally don't want to accept that the playoff results are largely luck driven (who's goaltender shows out, which team avoids the bad injuries, who gets the bounces in OT) so people ignore the obvious which is that any of the top 10 teams are "close"
@roboharls It's an interesting contrast, a roster of assholes with a chill fan base against a fairly chill roster with a fan base of assholes.
At least it's not the worst of both worlds (Minnesota)
@buckeyes111111@Lassimak the Stars have had some really good injury luck in some of the previous seasons where they had basically the full team together the entire year.. every team has years like this (or even worse). Stars still used relatively few roster players compared to some other teams...
@townbrad yeah I mean I haven't paid any attention to what's going down but if the Stars legal representation is really reduced to this kind of petty stuff I don't think that's a very effective argument in a court..
@RobertTiffin I remember I was pretty gung ho about Marc Savards prospects as a coach in the NHL back when the Stars hired DeBoer.. he was in the discussion back then as I recall.
@DallasStarsDDH I mean 5 years ago Rasmus Andersson was a hot commodity.. I can't imagine a team viewing him as being worth a premium asset nowadays.. but the NHL is crazy, people trade premium assets for garbage all the time.
@samnestler he's an intriguing player, in a small sample size / low ice time allocation he has performed pretty decent for a player at the start of his career.. but he hasn't gotten the trust of the teams he's been with.
Hope he was a good showing if he gets into the lineup this next while
@DavidCastilloAC Personally I think that the team running out 4 extremely limited defenceman when it comes to doing anything with the puck is a major issue. They desperately need a move for a more fluid defenceman
@DavidCastilloAC Yeah the bizarre turn in the Stars play from late January of last season where they suddenly became the worst possession team in the league is something that has confounded alot of people
@RobertTiffin I don't understand how they can be drowning for 30 minutes 5v5, have a perfect PK, then go straight back to being unable to defend anything lol
@DavidCastilloAC The people who own the Mavs.. are not good people
I mean I don't know if Tom Gaglardi is good people either, but the Mavs people definitely aren't.
@BlackoutDallas I'm starting to think that Glen Gulutzan didn't have all that much to do with whatever success the Oilers had the last couple years lol
I mean it's not his fault either, the team looked like crap the 2nd half of last season under DeBoer. Not sure what it will take.
@RobertTiffin it's pretty amazing how good Carolina looks on the road without arguably their 3 best defensemen.. I guess it depends on how you rate Nikishin or Chatefield vs the people that are out.
I wish the Stars had that kind of organizational depth :(
@samnestler we saw some positive signs last game, they'll need to build on that tonight to have any chance against an incredibly strong Carolina lineup.
An early look at how the Stars match up against probably the cup favorites from the east.
@DLLS_Stars Heiskanen looked alot better that game than he has for stretches of the season so far but that shot in OT was pretty brutal.. I mean I don't really think of Heiskanen as someone who's going to beat a goalie clean from 80 feet out and surrendering possession in OT is death.
