The IMF Executive Board yesterday concluded the 2025 Article IV consultation and completed the sixth and final review of Rwanda’s Policy Coordination Instrument (PCI).
The PCI performance has been strong, with all quantitative targets met and reforms implemented. PCI supported Rwanda’s agenda to safeguard macroeconomic stability and advance climate-resilient development.
As the PCI concludes, the policy focus shifts to implementing #NST2 prioritizing inclusive growth and major infrastructure projects.

This week, NBR, in partnership with the Fondation pour les Études et Recherches sur le Développement International (FERDI), hosted a 2-day international research seminar for 13 young economists from 9 African countries specializing in macroeconomics and finance in #Africa.

The seminar aimed to foster collaboration, facilitate knowledge exchange, and promote evidence-based policymaking. Participants explored topics such as digital transformation, climate resilience, financial stability, debt sustainability, and access to credit, offering fresh insights on sustaining Africa’s growth amid global uncertainties.

13 research papers were selected as the best from over 120 applications and presented by participants representing Rwanda, Malawi, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, Cameroon, and La Banque Centrale des États de l'Afrique de l'Ouest (BCEAO).

1. Il était jeune et père de famille.

2. Il a accepté de servir son pays dans des conditions 1000 fois moins meilleures que celles réservées aux privilégiés de la République(Ministres, Députés, Sénateurs, Mandataires…).

3. Comme tout bon citoyen qui ne jure que sur le respect strict des lois de la RDC, il était en train de faire respecter le Code de la route pour désengorger le trafic et sécuriser les congolais.

4. Les privilégiés de la République qui pensent qu’ils ont le monopole de violer impunément les lois du pays ont décidé de le torturer comme un chien errant jusqu’à arracher sa vie sans tenir compte de sa sacralité tout simplement parce qu’il a voulu respecter son serment de servir exceptionnellement et dignement le Congo.

5. Il laisse derrière lui une veuve et une orpheline qui n’auront plus la chance de bénéficier de tous les avantages dont elles étaient bénéficiaires avant sa mort tragique.

6. La République a failli à sa mission de protéger ses dignes fils qui ne ménagent aucun effort pour redorer son image de plus en plus ternie par une série noire des bavures policières.

Justice pour ce digne fils du pays, victime de la barbarie et de la méchanceté humaine.
