These photos mark an important milestone for the Beyond Reasonable Drought project. It's the final demonstration in a series of 13 with YFIG, @LiebeGroup and @WMG_WA. Funded by the Future Drought Fund, result from these site will be updated and available on the @NACC_NRM website.
In Moora today for the second @EarthWhileAus and @NACCagriculture soil biodiversity workshop. A small group but a good cross section of the Agricultural interests in the area. Special shout out to our friends @MooreCatchment for coming along. @AusLandcare @DeptAgNews
Join @NACC_NRM and @EarthWhileAus for a free interactive workshop in Gingin on Tuesday 28th June to learn about soil biodiversity and how you can build soil carbon. RSVP to [email protected]
A year ago I was at this site discussing one of the first mixed biodiversity/fodder plantings for the Growing Great Ground project, now it's is a fantastic example on what can be achieved. If your interested in something similar get in touch @NACCagriculture or @AnnaCornell1997.
What a difference a year makes! Oct 2020 vs this week at one of our Growing Great Ground revegetation sites in the Goodlands. This grower had a successful establishment of oats, Anameka, Atriplex, Acacia, Rhagodia and Eucalyptus. Still accepting EOIs for this project🌾 @NACC_NRM
Less than a week out from the Soil Systems Masterclass. There is still time to register and learn from some quality speakers on Thursday the 26th at the Northampton Community Centre https://t.co/l8p1TTaYfS.
Yesterday @NACCagriculture ran their Precision Ag workshops on VRT with @PrecisionAgAus very own Matt Roesner. It was great to see the interest at Morawa Ag College with future events and on-ground activities already being lined up.
@dustyfry1_fry@KentBroad@worrolong@NACC_NRM@AnnabelleGarra1@NACCagriculture I would say that there are also social factors. The concept of 'repairing' this as cropping land is a high stress venture that is unlikely to see a ROI. It is only a small patch and can be used to produce extra feed for stock, reducing the mental burden of managing the property
In Bowgada today looking at a site no longer suited to cereal production. Through @NACC_NRM 's Growing Great Ground project this site will become a biodiverse planting of fodder/shrubs supporting a cell grazing system, keeping it economically and environmentally viable
@dustyfry1_fry@KentBroad@worrolong@NACC_NRM@AnnabelleGarra1@NACCagriculture Kent has the most of it. It appears that there is a very localised issue with geology, possibly a heavy mechanical intervention and a large $$ commitment could turn it around but I doubt there would be much/any return on investment, particularly with forecast declines in rainfall
Looking to improve #GroundCover & #SoilMoisture? Wanting to build #SoilCarbon & boost drought resilience?
Join us, @EldersLimited & Yuna Farm Improvement Group to learn about how legumes could work on your property!
RSVP at [email protected] or by calling 0438 989 500!
Don't forget about these great little events happening next week. @PrecisionAgAus will be joining us to chat about all things PA, VRT and being smarter with your data. Free attendance, bring along any queries you have and join us. Refreshments provided!
We pay tribute to the late Major General the Honourable Michael Jeffery, Australia's very first National Soil Advocate, who led the way in raising awareness about regenerating landscapes across the country, and the vital role that soil plays in human health and climate change.

In the field yesterday with @AnnabelleGarra1 for the @NACCagriculture project Growing Great Ground, visiting a site looking to improve groundcover and doing some vegetation assessment. If you are keen to do some revegetation or establish groundcover get in touch with @NACC_NRM
It has been a good few weeks for the @NACCagriculture team with today's announcement by @MarkMcGowanMP and @AlannahMac of @NACC_NRM's successfully project application Regenerating the Chapman, which will provide a foundation for whole of catchment regeneration.
A fantastic day out with YFIG, the sites looked great. @eyres_N spoke well on the benefits and outcomes that we have seen and can expect going forward into next season. As a bonus we spotted a little extra biodiversity in the serredella site hosted by @jockbo75@NicoleBatten2.
It was a good day in Yuna for the YFIG spring field day. @CallumJLove was there to introduce the @NACC_NRM Legume Solutions pilot project in partnership with YFIG and @eyres_N. The sites looked good and its fair to say the pilot project has been a success.
A beautiful winter day for a site visit for @NACC_NRMs Growing Great Ground project. This property is looking to slow some wind and improve ground cover while providing extra protection for their sheep. If you have something similar in mind get in touch with @NACCagriculture
If you are interested in some funding to plant native vegetation or undertake groundcover improvement, including perennial pastures, follow the link included to get in touch with me
It is a strange and challenging time but @NACC_NRM are committed as ever to improving our natural environment. If you are a farmer in the Northern Agricultural Region check out this link for how we can work together. https://t.co/podLMIdgS7
