@RetroBreakGames There’s been a lot of handheld emulators released lately. The screen looks nice on this one, I’m guessing it’s an IPS display. Interesting to see what the emulation quality is like and how the buttons are.
I would encourage everyone who can to watch David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet. It's an excellent film on how we're affecting our planet, and how we help prevent and even fix a lot of the damage we're doing.
You can now set the default name for new branches in git.
It was only recently I was looking at a way to script this, so I'm happy we've now got it built-in.

@raindrop_io One of the features I really liked was that when searching it will show all the tags that those results have. This then allowed you to filter down by tags until you found the bookmark you were looking for.
In the beta it appears this is now missing.
I've been experimenting with the IMF structure that Nick Milo has designed for @obsdmd. It seems to be the structure that seems to follow my thought process quite nicely.
I just need to work out the best way to take media notes using this structure.
I've recently started trialing the use of @obsdmd to take notes, using Dropbox to sync them between various machines.
I'm really liking what it's capable of. I just need to find a scalable structure of using it that will easily allow me to find notes on specific topics.
@ShuOmi3@feedbin I use Inoreader for this. It can even create RSS feeds for pages that don't have them. So far I use it consume blogs, Youtube, Reddit, Twitter and Email Newsletters.
It's be interesting to see how it compares to Feedbin.
@EdwinKortman @NehemiahKiv This is the convention I apply and encourage people to use. It makes it easier to provide a good commit message, gives consistency and overall nicer to read.
Though it doesn't necessarily prevent bad commit messages, just makes them consistent.
@florinpop17 When working with existing code, or finding a solution to an issue on Stack Overflow, try to break down the code and understand exactly what its doing. Don't just copy and paste. It'll help your comprehension and often you may realise a better option.

@dabit3 Hi, I'm Callum.
I'm a developer with around 9+ years experience working on mostly back-end systems, with varying tech.
I'm passionate about new tech, clean code and knowledge sharing. I've found one of the best ways to learn is interacting with other passionate developers.
I've been using Dark Sky for years now. The news that the Apple buyout means the discontinuing of the Android app has me pretty sad.
Does anyone have any good alternatives that compare in accuracy?
