London’s bus network is one of the safest in the world, but we must go further and faster to eliminate all deaths and serious injuries.
Our new, world-leading Bus Safety Standard is the next major step toward getting that number down to zero.

The Care Quality Commission this week upgraded the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich to ‘Good’.
Always more to do but this is great news and reflects the leadership, energy and focus that have been applied to improving services and facilities at QEH.

I spotted five family bikes at a single junction this morning. Not an event or a photoshoot; just the school run in London🚲
Over 250,000 cars do the morning school run in LDN - our bike lanes & school streets are enabling families to choose better options. 🚲🚶♀️🛴👨🦽🤸♀️
I’ve launched a plan to get more Londoners walking, cycling and wheeling through the capital - along with @TfL@WillNorman, we’re making our streets safer🚶🏽
Gavin Barwell (former chief of staff to Theresa May) is correct, of course, but the sad reality is, Kemi Badenoch knows he is correct, but is happy to lie. It's a strategy that's worked for years, lie with a straight face, say it with confidence, and your supporters will follow.
If we haven’t emptied your bin as expected following the bank holiday, you don’t need to report this to us as we are aware. Please leave your bin out for collection and we’ll catch up as soon as we can next week. Thank you for your understanding.
British families and businesses are installing solar power at record rates, taking back control of their energy bills and delivering energy security.
This is what our clean power mission is delivering👇
I want to get more Londoners walking.
To make that happen, our streets need to be safer and cleaner.
Together with TfL, I'm setting out an action plan for new crossings, safer routes to school and clearer pavements so more Londoners can walk every day.

We said we're sick of this 💩 and we meant it.
We're not turning a blind eye, we're getting things done.💪
If you fly-tip in Greenwich, you will get caught.
We're standing up for residents who are as sick this 💩as we are.
Since February we've handed out a massive 701 FPNs for fly-tipping!
£1,000 for dumping your rubbish just isn't worth it - your neighbours are tired of it, and we'll catch you for doing it.🚨
An Amber heat health warning is in place in London until Wednesday 27 May.
Please stay safe during the hot weather and check in on older neighbours, friends and family, young children and anyone who may find it difficult to manage in the heat.

Overjoyed we’ve been able to save the trees on Straightsmouth with a tree protection order meaning Hydes plans were halted.
Incredibly grateful for engagement of Planning Team and even more so for all the residents who I’ve been working with on this.

Today marks the anniversary of the tragic murder of Fusilier Lee Rigby. Thirteen years on, we remember Lee as the brave and kind person that he was. Our thoughts are with the Rigby family, and all those who knew and loved Lee.
13 years ago today Fusilier Lee Rigby was murdered outside the Royal Artillery Barracks in Woolwich.
My thoughts are with Rebecca and Lyn Rigby and the rest of Lee's family and friends.
Let us remember his life and service, as well as the victims of the Manchester Arena attack.
