@J0RDANSCHAEFFER @rootcausesleuth Did Root ever intend to clarify her statement?
I'm not sure why I'm being castigated for being precise whilst Root is free to make vague statements as she pleases?
@J0RDANSCHAEFFER @rootcausesleuth If God is ontologically different from creation, then my post is true.
God is ontologically not "like" is in any way.
@rootcausesleuth @J0RDANSCHAEFFER You're ignoring my point.
If you don't *also* see how God is wholly other from us when you read the Bible, I don't know what to say.
@rootcausesleuth @J0RDANSCHAEFFER To be clear about what is meant when we affirm that we are like God (i.e. In what sense we are like God).
Precision is extremely important.
Everything that exists was created for the purpose of displaying and enjoying the supreme good.
God’s glory (His infinite worth, beauty, and excellence manifest) is the supreme good.
Therefore, creation exists for the ultimate purpose of displaying and enjoying God’s glory.
@jpclemens@Curi_Christian I don't see how that follows at all.
I'm still saying that man-post-fall, has a moral inability (which would reject the notion of semi-pelagianism), whilst also affirming that sin is not essential to human nature, which is why Jesus didn't sin.
