Staff at Cambridge University will be striking three days this week. Strike days: Wed 31st Jan to Fri 2nd Feb. Picket lines at Fitzwilliam Museum, Downing Site, Sidgwick Site, Engineering, Chemistry and University Library. Rally 12.30 on Friday outside Senate House.
It now seems clear that our employer has little commitment to ending our pay dispute after they failed to find a date to meet again until two weeks after the timeframe set out in our agreed Disputes Procedure. This procedure is designed to prioritise finding resolution. 1/4
The government is planning to drastically cut the ability of unions to take industrial action.

Our strike today emphasises that workers are the backbone of Cambridge University. Fitzwilliam and Sedgwick Museums will remain closed until this wealthy institution recognises and fairly compensates its staff.
