@colandlumi The intention behind it is to enable the selling of flats by disclosing copies to buyers and their lenders which we are told would be acceptable to them for lending purposes. Once the works are completed then the EWS1 form can be produced
@colandlumi Hi, sorry for the late reply! There is a development pledge letter from Crest Nicholson in circulation for the development in Glenalmond Avenue which confirms their intentions to undertake and fund all remediation works.
There are no warm words that can counteract receiving an actual invoice in my name for over £112k (the first £28k of which I’m supposed to hand over in 25 days time?! )
Leaseholders need ACTUAL protection, in law, immediately.

Small example that helps illustrate the drive and motivation of developers to help fix this crisis, they can’t even progress what is relatively speaking a “quick win” in PR terms for a smaller aspect of the much bigger problem @ Kaleidoscope that they continue to prevaricate over
@CrestNicholson your promise to “reimburse” (and not merely “contribute to” as you now state) the cost of the interim fire safety measures is now 15 months old. Man Co say you have a clear summary of all contractor costs but they are having to constantly chase for a response
"Housebuilder Crest Nicholson has revealed another £29 million bill for high-rise cladding and fire safety measures as it swung to a full-year profit." @Independent
(But still recorded pre-tax profit of £86.9 for year)

We had a very nice communications professional join the RMC board for a brief stint & his main advice was for people not to promote their plight to the press or on social media as our development may become a “poster” for the cladding crisis. This seems to be common advice given
Thinking of all those staging protests today & so much admiration for all the effort that’s gone into today! Unfortunately unable to make my local one today but looking forward to representing @CambridgeAction & joining you all on 15 July. Our voices will be heard 💪🏻
1/6 Using MHCLG’s own estimates there are 8,000 >18 m buildings with cladding requiring an EWS1. Multiply that by the £2.2 million average full BSF funding per building awarded to date (£241.5m/106) gives an estimated cost of £18.23 billion. #EndOurCladdingScandal
Belated congratulations. Perhaps you might now have the means to help the leaseholders at Kaleidoscope, Cambridge by fixing the now worthless and financially ruinous death traps you constructed?
Ahead of our Annual General Meeting this afternoon, we are pleased to announce a good trading performance for the year-to-date, showing strong progress against all five strategic priorities: https://t.co/AMRScgdQ18
Come to our protest on Saturday at 11am! It is not acceptable that leaseholders pay for #Bellway ‘s greed. Flammable/combustible materials are not acceptable!
1/ Fire Safety Bill conflicts of interest:
⚠️91% of Conservative MP landlords voted against protecting Leaseholders
⚠️ Since 2010 Conservatives received over £34 Million of donations from Construction and Property linked individuals & businesses

This is what is happening to so many caught up in this crisis and it has taken so long to get this vote back in the commons today, yet @RobertJenrick cannot act fast enough to save rich Tory donors from any ‘worry’ of making a few less million £.
