Call me fusty - and I don't care if the PM is left or right wing - but I'd quite like the big moments in our countries life to happen without the intervention of some dickhead with a boombox.
“Political violence is never ok unless it’s perpetrated by MY supporters”- Green Party supporters and elected officials often shout loudest about “hateful rhetoric” yet are silent when their leader mourns a prison sentence for someone lumping a copper with a sledgehammer…
Gut wrenching to see four young people jailed for direct action against an arms supplier to Israel.
Years in prison for protesting to save lives in Gaza, with 'terrorism' used despite no jury convicting them of it.
A truly dangerous attack on the right to protest.
On the day America celebrated the IPO of its biggest space company, Britain found out its government is banning underfloor heating.
The decline of our country is not inevitable, it is the choice of the rotten political class.
Let's accept that, in arriving on the scene, the officers didn't know who was telling the truth.
The incident still demonstrates that the police consider 'he was racist to me' as a higher priority than 'he stabbed me'.
The absolute snobbery aimed at Reform Councillors as they settle into their roles is genuinely very sad.
It’s symptom of the fact in Britain ordinary working people have been shut out of a political class.
No wonder people vote for us, no wonder the uniparty is on borrowed time
Hi there! I'm Keir Starmer, your Prime Minister. I'd like you to vote for Andy Burnham, who is the candidate of my party, Labour, of which I am leader. Andy Burnham has the full endorsement of me, Keir Starmer. Keir Starmer says: vote for Andy Burnham!"
Back over to #Bournemouth town council where Kinson ward was called.
Two seats were available in this area, Reform managed to gain both of them. #LE2026
A massive well done to you too @ASWoodward1 for regular and detailed coverage that beat @BCPCouncil to the news on most occasions, I was working away in London but felt in the loop, great work
and most importantly support our residents by keeping their taxes low - I would hope each council can either freeze or cut the precept this year - to show our community what a Reform run BCP council will do for them in future years
1/3 Congratulations to my reform colleagues who were elected to Bournemouth and Poole town councils. The liberals have increased their seats nationally but locally they have absolutely collapsed, some of this will be due to the decision to create the town councils themselves but
In case you missed it yesterday (May 8) the results of town Council elections in #Bournemouth#Poole and#Broadstone were announced.
Reform UK has a majority in both Bournemouth and Poole Town Council.
The Liberal Democrats have a majority in Broadstone Town Council
#LE2026
Whilst the town councils will initially have limited powers, I know the Reform teams in both Bournemouth and Poole will show residents that we can improve our towns, support our communities, hold Lib Dem led BCP to account,
also the litany of ignored consultations, wasteful spending and generally ridiculous decisions that we all see, and the decline they have caused our towns. The anger of the electorate is so clear to see with so many existing administration Councillors failing to win seats.
