Attending the great @Trauma2021 Australasian Trauma Society conference - some fantastic presentations from @kvallmuur, @DrBenBeck, @ChristeyGrant and others.
The main issue is watching my own pre-recorded presentation. Tempted to ask questions around the obvious limitations...
@TheSpyCommand The TV show was re-run daily in Australia well into the 1980s - many Aussies in their 40s well-remember the changing switch, the anti-shark spray and other highlights from the show and this movie.
@3blondes3 Selective plot details, much?
The Time Machine was set in the year 800,000 or so.
And in Outbreak the Americans appeared to give a damn about containment... and other countries.
To all the Tweets out there 'realising' and pointing out that Mad Max was set in 2021... don't be ridiculous.
If movies could predict the future with any degree of accuracy, my flying DeLorean should be just coming out of warranty now.
Happy New Year all!

There hasn't been much footy this year due to COVID, but I'm thrilled that after a long journey @doctorwozza, @TraumaHelen and I have a new paper published - An evaluation of the presentation and severity of Australian football injury in children. https://t.co/mJCp26P4cZ
@MoonsPhilip Congratulations Philip. Really interesting findings which echo findings related to who recovers after physical major injury. I wonder how many other diseases this applies to?
I've been working on this paper for hours. Here are the 4 #FlawCytometry figures from this paper, marked by me for similarities. Each figure represents a different part of the brain.
This paper has been cited 39 times. 😱

@MicrobiomDigest Same as the last comment - just read the article in Nature.
You have a wonderful gift/talent/ability. Thanks for your extraordinary committment!
@TheSpyCommand Such a great movie and series - I have enjoyed watching with all my kids when young. Signs like 'Entrance to secret lair' never fail to amuse.
