Review - Black Mountain Side (2014)
A group of men in a frozen wilderness find something deadly hidden under the ice. No, it’s not The Thing, it’s the Canadian thriller Black Mountain Side.

@DoodleMan149 I'm gonna go indie: Black Mountain Side.
I expected less than nothing and got a well paced, gut churning horror-suspense with an ending that sneaks up on you in a really magnificent way.
Because you should have remembered it was there. ;)
Black Mountain Side (2016)💀💀💀💀
If The Thing, Antlers, the VVitch had a baby, it would be Black Mountain Side. A fun little Canadian horror movie with a great Lovecraftian vibe to it. Bonus points for the talking “entity” without spoilers. Great voice.
Fans of The Thing may be shocked to find that this low-budget 2014 indie film follows in the footsteps of John Carpenter's iconic horror movie.

instead of wasting your time with a shitty franchise revival this weekend, may I interest you in "Black Mountain Side," my personal Tubi-hidden hobbyhorse that hides some delicious eldritch-folk horror inside an homage to "The Thing"?
