Excited to share the 1st of my profile series on health tech's "gatekeepers" – the people who decide what promising ideas actually get deployed in health. First is @ycombinator health care partner @SurbhiSarnaSF: https://t.co/UiISkFIBe9
Also deeply disappointed in this piece. I spent the weekend making sure that 10-person companies could make payroll despite their SVB deposits evaporating, ensuring EAs and technicians could get paid. This rescue wasn't about rich ppl! SVB-backed companies employed 1.4 M folks
I’ll admit I’m normally a fan of the NYT and The Daily. But good god their latest episode on SVB is such a joke it’s unbelievable, clearly have no idea what they’re even talking about
@JMaraganore@cngarabedian@ldtimmerman I wish we could all lose the religious fervor about one or the other. Some face to face time is required, and that’ll be 3+ days a week in many cultures - while some companies can get away with 3 intense days per month - but we cannot eliminate F2F without costs
@ethanjweiss My last dog (border-lab mix) actually fell off one of those cliffs at FF -- she was uninjured (remarkably!) - but linking back up to her was complex (I didn't follow her down the cliff)
Driving on hwy 101 today, I saw a large white Tesla driving aggressively up the rear of a small car … basically being a car Karen. Large BMWs used to be “that person” … Tesla people, don’t do it!
@viriditax Indeed … the trippledemic-meets-atmospheric rivers made attending JPM feel like a collective act of insanity … but everyone was craving human connection
What if the JPM healthcare conference turns out to be a super spreader event? I have heard of 3 people who attended stuff and tested positive on Wed or Th last week
