With Rue turning 2 today I’m sharing some dad tips that I’ve jotted down over time.
Being a parent is the best grind in the world and being a part of the Girl Dad community is one of the many perks.
It’s important us dads stick together 🤝
Here’s what I got so far:
• Teach them what a “secret” is early
• Do bedtime routine together
• Eat dinner as a family
• Read the Daily Dad by @ryanholiday
• Weekly tradition. Pizza & Movie Night.
• Give them chores. (Trash, cleaning up their messes, let them pretend to help you doing something)
• Randomly interrupt them and tell them you love them
• Love on their mother
• When they’re having a moment - ask them if you can ask them a question. I feel like it makes them feel important and totally forget what they’re upset over.
If you have any off the top of your head - would love for you to share.

Exercise causes muscles to act like a sponge and take up kynurenine, preventing its conversion to a neurotoxic agent implicated in depression.
A meta-analysis of 25 randomized controlled trials found aerobic exercise reduced depressive symptoms in people with depression.
Quinolinic acid - a neurotoxic agent implicated in depression - is formed from kynurenine, but exercise, particularly intense aerobic exercise, prevents this from happening.
This is just one of many mechanisms explaining why exercise helps with depression.
Watch the new FMF episode on why we should incorporate more vigorous exercise into our workout routines.

TM3’s extreme penchant for spotting up from 28+ feet is one of the league’s great geometry-warpers
It’s as if he’s operating along his own invisible, outlying perimeter above the break, and doing so with a level of comfort on par with any seen from 23’9
There’s spacing, and then there’s outer-spacing, and Trigga Trey is Neil Armstrong with a ratchet
