A woman is Kentucky was forced to travel to Maryland, spend $7,500, and drop out of nursing school shortly before she was due to graduate.
Why?
Doctors in Kentucky wouldn’t perform an abortion despite the fact that her fetus had developed without a skull.
It’s not the doctor’s fault, though.
Doctors face extreme risk and penalties for performing necessary care. The laws are written intentionally vague to have a chilling effect.
@lynna_listens It is one-sided with my extended family. Staying connected has meant holding the pain, harm, disregard. It’s meant genuflecting to the ideas of the dead and nearly-dead. It’s hard to not be connected, so I’m trying to hold it more lightly.
@auticulate Twitter!
FB is people who think they already know me, and argue with me about myself. Nope.
IG has some content creators I like, dangling services for $$$, which is appropriate but not what I’m looking for
@autismtalknd Scoldings for eye movements, talking, not talking, talking in the wrong tone when I could not control my tone. Being expected to be good at everything because I was good at reading and math. Being punished for being weak on a day or in an area. Being told I was not nice.
Good morning and Happy Saturday to everyone who agrees that Viagra should be banned in every single state where abortion is banned.
And if my suggestion pisses you off, now you know how people without access to abortion feel.
Many people grew up in emotionally disconnected homes with adults who were distracted, shut down, or disinterested.
Children in these homes learn to raise themselves.
