Are you a woman who changed your name when you got married?
Congress is considering a bill that could make it much harder for you to vote.
Call your rep—this is not a drill. https://t.co/P7CcCnFTk1
@RickWardLA Thank you Senator. It is truly difficult times when people are not only afraid of the one vote but, the threats because of their opinions. You are deeply missed in our Legislature.
🧵Happy National CROWN Day!
Today's holiday celebrates the passage of the Create a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair Act, which prohibits discrimination based on hair style or texture.

BREAKING: Moments ago Manhattan DA, Alvin Bragg has issued this statement in response to the GOP subpoenaing former Special Assistance to the DA, Mark Pomerantz. It reads:
"The House GOP continues to attempt to undermine an active investigation and ongoing New York criminal case with an unprecedented campaign of harassment and intimidation. Repeated efforts to weaken state and local law enforcement actions are an abuse of power and will not deter us from our duty to uphold the law. These elected officials would better serve their constituents and the country, and fulfill their oath of office, by doing their jobs in Congress and not intruding on the sovereignty of the state of New York by interfering in an ongoing criminal matter in state court."
THANK YOU Alvin Bragg!
I’ve called for a minimum wage increase every year as governor, but the legislature has refused. This year, I will use my executive power to raise the minimum wage for state employees to $10/hour. I hope #lalege will follow our lead and raise the wage for all Louisianans. #lagov
Hair discrimination is racial discrimination, and discrimination is not a Louisiana value. I was proud to sign @CandaceNewell10's CROWN Act into law last year, to protect Louisianans from discrimination based on a person's natural, protective, or cultural hairstyle #lagov#lalege
"Our dedication to preparing more Black health care professionals in our fight against health inequity is our answer to the call of our nation’s critical need," said @XULApres

@matthewfblock@LouisianaGov Thank you for all of your hard work. You were selfless with information and advice to this new Legislator, for that I'm eternally grateful. You also shared your rabbits with me!! Thank you!!
