This is where tough markets start to thin out traders who didn't respect risk during the correction. Then the wall of worry is in place when the next cycle up starts.

There's a state you can get into as a trader where you can see positive price action, but can't pull the trigger because you are emotionally damaged from previous failure.

The goal during corrections is to avoid that state as much as possible because you want to be there for when the market turns at the bottom.
