The River Severn Forgotten Migration
1/7
Last night, under the moonlight on the River Severn, I watched critically endangered baby eels fighting a battle they cannot win.

Day three of the worst June heat wave in history & the dogs at MBR beagle breeding facility in Cambridgeshire are locked in steel cages in 38 degree centigrade disgusting cruelty
BREAKING NEWS:
FREE THE 15....... THE 15 HAVE BEEN FREED
Steph Spyro @StephSpyro and the @Daily_Express have saved the penguins which are currently being held captive in the basement of the London Aquarium. 👏👏👏
Huge, huge, huge achievement. Hip hip hooray.
A brilliant, brilliant example of nothing more than having a clear vision, a strategic objective coupled with the guts, the ambition and determination to deliver it. Huge round of applause.
Mighty I suggest that others, especially those within the eNGO charity sector will want to take note.

This chick had only 2 hours out of the nest box before a neighbour’s cat attacked.
Don’t make this happen.

Campaigners are racing to save the mother tree of the Bramley apple – a 220-year-old tree in Nottinghamshire that traces every Bramley apple in the world back to a single pip. Planted in the 19th century, it’s still fruiting today, but now faces an uncertain future as its cottage goes up for sale.
Supporters want to buy the site and turn it into a heritage centre, preserving a living piece of Britain’s culinary history for the nation.

I photographed the 1st pic yesterday whilst out cycling because it was such a beautiful sight & obviously brilliant for pollinators. Today, it's been sprayed with herbicide & the Dandelions are all wilting! What a shocking waste & another unnecessary bit of land doused in poison.
1/1 The #swifts are relying on High Peak Borough Council and @networkrail working together to get planning permission granted. Unless a pragmatic approach is taken it's not looking good. We're doing everything we can on the ground

.@networkrail - I replied to your DM yesterday and sent you my email address as requested. I have yet to be contacted by anyone to tell me why the nests remain blocked at Milton Viaduct. The clock is ticking for these beautiful #swifts.
.@networkrail#swifts are officially listed on the UK Red List of #Conservation Concern, due to catastrophic population decline of over 60% in last 25 years. Why is your company contributing to this decline by refusing to unblock nesting sites at Milton Viaduct?
