@wingoz Disagree. Pelley is a pompous ass. Apparently he didn't have the "hand" he thought he did, like Costanza. Tough break, Trey. Shellenberger hits it right here.

CBS has fired โ60 Minutesโ correspondent Scott Pelley, and rightly so. He betrayed journalistic principles in platforming debunked science, in being closed-minded and dogmatic, and in behaving like a pompous ass. Good riddance.
@JohnKruk Not sure this setting happens in the 80s. Community with sports is a thing now. How far has the WVU program progressed through the years? Wonder what Paul Ackerman thinks? Good luck the rest of the Philles year. Enjoy!

@PBerce "The Dirty Dozen" with maybe the greatest athlete of all-time, Jim Brown.
Canes need to think defense first in this series. Even if that means not having puck in offensive zone as much. Not sure why RBA didn't match Staal v Suzuki in gm 1. Thought that was a given.
@expomick@PBerce 2002 SCF vs Detroit. Gm 3 on a Saturday. Series tied 1-1. Hot and sunny day. Tailgate started at noon. Game started at 8PM. Of course, it goes 3OT. Sunburned and over 12 hrs on site. Just wanted the game to end๐.
BBQ down south means a pig picking.
@SBRadio Lew Alcindor at 22 yrs old had 46 pts and 25 rebs in a playoff game. So, it's happened before. Great to be included with Kareem.

@mikemaniscalco@Canes Had to be Les Habitants. Some good memories here.
2002 Conference Semis:
Gm 4 - Habs up 2-1 in series and 3-0 to start 3rd period.

2006 Conference 1st Round:

Rod Brind'Amour on Dundon: "All I know is since heโs taken over, we win โ and he paid the players. He said, โWhat do you need?โ I said, we canโt be $25 million below what everybody else is paying. Thatโs not going to work. And he wrote a check to the players. Thatโs good enough for me. When a guy wants to win and gives us a fair fight, thatโs the kind of owner you want.โ
Context: Canes were near last in spending vs. the cap when Dundon took over. Moved near the top almost immediately. Now have core locked up long term, cap space to make moves, productive farm system and are No. 1 seed in East. Had missed playoffs nine straight years. Now made playoffs eight straight years + won at least one series all eight.
@richarddeitsch Are you feeling happy tonight?
Have you visited Campbellford, Ontario yet?
Stay up in your socialist downtown enclave where you think life is beautiful. Your side is very aggressive in dictating their gospel. I hope you are proud of that.
@SBRadio You've been doing this biz since 2004 and that's your retort? Maybe it's gotten stale for you. 20+ yrs, long time.
Facts are facts, Canes have been great since he acquired them. NBA comes down to players. Maybe you'll find a Walton, Lucas, Hollins, Gross group soon. Good luck
@SBRadio Dundon is 7 for 7 in making the NHL playoffs. That's with the organization missing the previous 9 playoffs. While he has tightened the budget on secondary spending, he's spent to the cap since he took over. Product on ice has improved greatly. Been great in Raleigh.
