RIP Robert Carradine.
Cannon had the curious inspiration to cast him as a loose cannon, Riggs-style cop in Number One With A Bullet (1987), which technically released before Lethal Weapon but, still, was filmed only two years after the release of Revenge of the Nerds.
With this film, Cannon was able to finish their Carradine family punch card, following their productions of House of the Longs Shadows (John), Maria's Lovers (Keith), and POW the Escape (David). They also managed to tick Martha Plimpton off their list with 1988's Shy People

Contributor copy of The Garbage Pail Kids Movie has arrived --- I'm so thrilled to have been part of this release, and had the chance to shine a spotlight on the underappreciated performers who wore the hot, heavy Garbage Pail Kid costumes for this film.
The Garbage Pail Kids Movie is now available in a lavish edition with a booklet essay I’m very proud of… plus, the Invasion USA 4K (with my commentary) is 50% off, AND their fantastic release of Texas Chainsaw 2 on 4K is back with new art. Sale ends soon! https://t.co/kGuA28FyOQ
Quentin Tarantino’s three favorite Cannon movies. Hear my interview with @SamFirstenberg wherever you get your podcasts. Or see the video on Spotify or my YouTube channel.
Greenberg shot more than a dozen Golan-Globus movies, from early Hebrew-language films to Cannon staples like Last American Virgin and 10 to Midnight. One of their most regular collaborators.
I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to dive deep into the careers of the performers inside the Garbage Pail Kid suits for the booklet in this release. Many of their resumes also include some of the best sci-fi and fantasy films of the era!
