@WC_Alice_VT@PabloMakes@Stormblade_999 Because then the meta is to abandon any time you fail a side objective. But consuming the key on mission start means that a host migration can simply delete a weekly reward.
@Slivarito I would agree with you, if not for the "bonus objectives" that award more loot. The moment a group fails one of those the whole thing will turn toxic. The reason Raids were good and not toxic is that you always got 1 reward per raid per week, with no chance for less or more
@rebbford The mix of 6-player DIY groups, a limited number of runs per week, and losing rewards by failing bonus targets is a perfect recipe for toxicity. Either the meta for these missions will be to quit out the moment a bonus is failed, or player's blocklists will be full in < 2 weeks
@ShitpostRock This one I can at least see as reasonable in the right setting. It depends on exactly how the magic system works. If magic is something that takes a toll on its user or can only be used so much in a given period of time, then them being oppressed would be a reasonable outcome.
A Gen Z joined the team.
Week one.
During onboarding, the manager said,
“We sometimes stay late during peak periods.”
Gen Z nodded.
Then asked,
“Is that paid… or just expected?”
The room went quiet.
- No attitude.
- No rebellion.
- Just a question.
Later that day, HR mentioned “growth opportunities.”
Gen Z replied,
“Does growth include raises, or just more responsibility?”
Again, silence.
- No laziness.
- No entitlement.
- Just clarity.
That’s when the team realized something.
When people say
“Gen Z is lazy,”
what they really mean is:
Gen Z watched old generation
- skip meals,
- miss birthdays,
- work weekends,
- and burn out
only to be told
“budgets are tight”
and “be grateful you have a job.”
So Gen Z chose differently.
- They don’t romanticize overwork.
- They don’t confuse suffering with ambition.
- They don’t trade health for praise.
They still work hard.
They just refuse to work for nothing.
It’s not laziness.
It’s pattern recognition.
And honestly,
after everything old generation went through…
Can you really blame them?
I remember growing up, my mom would sing along to the songs played over the PA at the grocery store, because they were the songs from her childhood.
I just got back from the store. I recognized every single song. They were from my childhood.
I feel old.
@rebbford Way too hard to do solo, difficult to do in a group, basically impossible to do on the progression curve (at current new players have to get taxied past them or wait to progress railjack until much later in the game)
@LibertyCappy 1/3 the bacon and an extra egg and this would be my ideal breakfast every morning
I would love to eat that much bacon but I can't afford that much sodium and calories.
@Matt_Pinner does an off-brand walkman count? and I've not listened to a boombox outside, only inside (while annoying people). and does a postcard to a magazine or the like count?
if those count, 0. most of them for fun, but I have done them.
@dauntingdeletor From what we've seen, Ballas' love for Margulis was like a toddler's love for their favorite toy: emotionally shallow, objectifying, and resulting in a massive temper tantrum when said favorite object is no longer theirs. And his temper tantrum nearly destroyed the entire system.
@ZiilpDev maybe split the difference to start, try 7.5 minutes and see if it feels better or worse, and if you need to tweak movement opportunity timers to compensate
@PabloMakes OG capped at 15k, armor capped at max 1350/enemy, overshield already capped ... not seeing a use case for this one.
Use on eximus with cat shields, you will get .5+1.5s immunity. Meanwhile rolling guard has 3s. Or just equip Aegis.
And not enough armor for Rhino to bother with.
