I still prefer to use speech-to-text in codex (I enjoy rambling for up to 10 minutes, brain dumping as I look over the project), then having codex build a plan around it. I still prefer it over the new voice model, though it’s cool to feel like you’re working WITH the agent now.

It was always possible to speak to your computer. It wouldn’t do much in return. But we fixed that bug.

@steipete @HansCNelson I think the biggest way for anyone to stop debugging for hours is to simply pass any issues over to codex itself, not openclaw —doctor / general oclaw debugging loops.

Codex 5.5 Oauth has been butter smooth + stable, I’ve got fast response times (~3s) on newest release; 2026.5.4
