Merci Elon.
@TuckerGoodrich Agree good article. Been trail running 3 times a week for 10 years on barefoot shoes. Have not had a running injury in a long time. Feet are much healthier also.
Germany killed a third of its pigs in the spring of 1915 because a committee had proved they were eating the people's bread, and then the people starved.
The committee was chaired by Paul Eltzbacher, a law professor, and reported in December 1914. The sum was simple. A pig eats grain and potatoes. A man eats grain and potatoes. With the British blockade closing the sea and the Russian grain gone, every potato fed to a pig was a potato taken from a German. The report gave the animals a name that did the arguing for it: Mitesser. Co-eaters.
The government had already fixed the price of potatoes so low that farmers were feeding them to the pigs rather than selling them at a loss, so the state banned that too. Then, from March 1915, it ordered the cull.
The herd stood at about 25 million. By the summer it was down towards 17 million. Somewhere around 9 million animals killed in a few months, in a country with no cold chain to speak of, so the meat was salted, canned in wartime tin that leaked, and left to rot in warehouses. Whole trainloads went off. The pork that was supposed to feed the cities in 1916 had been eaten or thrown away by the autumn of 1915.
The grain did not appear. The pig had been feeding on kitchen scraps, whey, chaff and spoiled potatoes that no human was going to eat, and the professors had counted all of it as bread.
Then the ground gave out. The chemical works that had made Germany's nitrogen fertiliser had been turned over to explosives, and on the small farms of the Reich the manure heap was the only fertiliser left. The manure heap was the pigs. Yields fell through 1915 and 1916, the potato crop failed in the wet autumn of 1916, and the country went into the winter of 1916 to 1917 on swede. The Turnip Winter. The Imperial Health Office put an adult man's need at 3,000 calories a day; the ration delivered about 1,000. A Berlin physician reported 80,000 children dead of hunger in 1916 alone. Youth crime doubled as boys broke into barns.
The kaiser's Germany did not lose the war on the Marne. It lost it in the queue for turnips, and the strikes and the mutinies of 1918 came out of that queue.
The pig is the most efficient animal ever domesticated for turning what people will not eat into what they will. It lives on waste. It fertilises the field that feeds it. And it was the first thing a modern state decided it could do without, on the strength of a calculation that counted only what the animal took and nothing it gave.
A committee with a spreadsheet, a herd measured as a cost, a country told the sacrifice was for the bread. Nobody in the room was lying. They simply did not know what a pig was for until they had killed it.
The manure heap never came back in time.
The Reich did not survive it.
If a firm announced a machine that:
- Runs on grass, bracken, straw and hedge trimmings
- Works on land no tractor can climb
- Turns cellulose into steak, milk, butter and cheese
- Fertilises the field it stands in, while standing in it
- Builds topsoil instead of eating it
- Runs on rain and sunlight, no cable, no charger
- Repairs itself and builds its own replacement every year
- Clears scrub, holds back wildfire and keeps the hill open
- Leaves behind leather, wool, tallow, gelatin, bone and 100 other products
- Has been in continuous service for 10,000 years without a recall
It would take every environmental award going and the chief executive would be knighted.
It is called a ruminant.
We have a cow, a sheep, and a goat already doing all of it, for nothing, on ground that grows nothing else.
The plan is to tax them by the burp.
At his press conference today, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro accused me of promoting conspiracy theories because I told him, during an earlier telephone conversation, that some Americans had religious objections to the MMR vaccine because it contained fetal tissue. “There is no fetal tissue in the MMR,” he told me.
This is a segment from a videotaped deposition of Stanley Plotkin, the inventor of the MMR vaccine. Plotkin admits to butchering 76 aborted normally developing fetuses, all over three months old, in just one of the many studies that led to the development of his vaccine.
The rubella virus used in MMR-II is grown on the cultured cell line composed of lung tissue from an aborted three-month-old female embryo and listed as “WI-38 human diploid lung fibroblasts” in the ingredients of MMR-II as portions of these cells end up in each vial of MMR II.
During Dr. Plotkin’s deposition, Attorney Aaron Siri asked: “Isn’t it true that MMR II contains approximately 150 nanograms cells substrate double-strand DNA and single-strand DNA per dose purposefully fragmented to approximately 215 base pairs in length?” Dr. Plotkin answered: “Yeah, that’s probably correct, yes.”
This equals approximately 646 billion pieces of human DNA from an aborted fetal cell line in each vial of MMR-II.
In addition to the human DNA, there is also an unspecified amount of human cellular debris in each dose of MMR-II.
During our phone conversation, Governor Shapiro also accused me of promoting vaccine misinformation. When I asked him for an example, he was unable to provide one, but this did not deter him from publicly repeating that accusation during his press event. As I told him, HHS does not tolerate misinformation by any employee. I offered to point to hundreds of instances of vaccine misinformation by the Biden administration about which I had never heard him complain.
Governor Shapiro also faulted me for the decline in Pennsylvania vaccination rates from 97% - 93.2%. When I pushed back on this assertion, he acknowledged that most of the decline occurred during the Biden administration. It’s unfortunately true that the government lockdowns, deceptions, manipulation, and overreach during Covid severely damaged public faith in the vaccine program.
Governor Shapiro’s press conference was an example of the same species of gaslighting.
The Trump administration is working to restore public trust not by gaslighting or manipulating, but by being truthful, at last, with the public.
ITS ALL A SHOW. Nothing will come of any of this. If they were serious, they would go after the hundreds of underlings that allowed Fauci to commit his crimes. Until now they have done nothing but go after the guy that has a pardon to score political points. Same play book as Epstein. It’s just a show for everyone to watch and argue about. In the end, both sides do not want to see anyone be held to account.
You are not allowed to run a mass surveillance state, whether it's run by the CIA, Peter Thiel, or Flock cameras.
I will ban Flock cameras, and end mass surveillance as Florida governor.
Hi Colonel Sanders. 👋
Meteorologist here! ⛈️
It’s summertime; it’s supposed to be hot. You’re 84 years old going on 85; you ought to know that better than most.
Since the start of the 20th century, there has been no increase in heatwaves in the United States. According to a new paper published in the Journal of Theoretical and Applied Climatology, Christy (2026),
🗨️ “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘵-𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘥𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘛𝘔𝘢𝘹 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘰𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 1899, 𝘥𝘶𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘥𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 1925–1954.”

Also, 38 (76% of) U.S. states set their “all-time” high temperature records prior to 1955.
In Europe, the situation is different, but trends in extreme heat over the last century are not globally homogenous. In many regions, there isn’t enough data pre-1950 to conclude anything robust over centennial scales.
Stay inside, chug some water, and quit complaining. Summers have always been hot. They always will be. Some have more heatwaves than others. Get a grip.
.@friedberg explains what the Politburo is:
“The Politburo is the leaders who elect themselves to dictate the flow of the economy, the allocation of capital, what work individuals are allowed to do, and what activities they’re allowed to do in an unfree society, which is what they’re creating.
They are the true oligarchs.
And this is Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Ro Khanna.
This is the group that is trying to coalesce power and create for themselves a system whereby they have greater influence, greater control over aspects of the economy.
They want to seize the means of production.
They want to control education.
They want to control media.
And anytime there’s an effort by an individual enterprise, or an individual themselves, to go out and build a business and succeed and do something that’s outside of their scope and their span of control, they lose their minds over it.
And that’s what we’re seeing.
So I react to their tweeting and their bullshit, where they’re basically trying to contort things about inequality and fairness and justice, when the truth is they are the rising empire, the evil empire in Star Wars.
They are the folks who want to take from all of us what we were endowed with when this nation was started, and what many people came to this country for, which is individual freedom and liberty, the ability to build a business in peace, the ability to make decisions, to do what you want with your own assets, and to have functionally private property.
And they’re taking it all away.
And they’re trying to take it all away.
And we’re watching, piece by piece, step by step.
So they are forming a politburo where they can effectively control the economy, control education, control the media, and tell us all what we can and can’t do and say.
And it’s frustrating to me to watch it because it’s masqueraded as bullshit virtue, as justice, as equity.
It’s a bunch of nonsense words that they use to try and make themselves seem virtuous when, at the end of the day, they are fundamentally evil.”
