Will they pay for the funerals of the cyclists who die as a result, that is the real question.

Getting rid of bikes lanes does not get rid of cyclists. Doing so just makes cyclists unsafe.

This weird war on bikes - which we know is designed to distract from the billions of dollars in failed transit delivery (Crosstown, Ottawa LRT) - is getting dangerous.

That’s what I don’t get. Ban parking on major streets.

Cycle tracks are travel lanes, while street-side parking is just cheap, highly subsidized storage.

@cycletherapyHam I agree that we need safe infrastructure for cycling. However, on these country(ish) roads, I don’t think infrastructure is the issue. It’s drivers not respecting cyclists, driving too fast & not leaving enough room when passing. We need better education and enforcement.
