This 2019 Model 3 RWD that @Drive_Protected recently gave away had the original NMC battery and rear motor after 381,000 miles (613,000 km). Even after all those miles, the battery retained 70% capacity.
Eric’s brand new Model 3 Premium RWD includes the updated CATL LFP pack from China. IMO, the new car will exceed the 2019 performance fairly easily.
If Eric’s team drives approximately ~567 miles per day (685km), they can reach 621K miles (1M kms) in about three years. Epic. What a challenge!

🚨 More details emerging from the devastating storm damage in Lynndyl, Utah.
The National Weather Service has received reports of widespread wind and hail damage across the area, including trees snapped and uprooted, power lines down, homes damaged and railroad cars overturned.
At this point, there are no directly measured wind speeds from the storm, so we don’t yet know exactly how strong the winds were.
However, the damage pattern is providing some important clues. Videos and photos show numerous trees knocked down in the same direction, which is consistent with strong, straight-line winds. There is currently no obvious convergent damage signature suggesting a tornado in the areas documented so far.
That said, the investigation isn’t over.
The National Weather Service has a survey team heading to Lynndyl to assess the damage firsthand. They’ll be looking closely at the damage pattern, vegetation, structures and other evidence to determine how intense the winds were and whether anything more significant occurred.
So for now, the big question remains:
Just how strong were the winds in Lynndyl?
We should have a much better answer after the survey is completed, weather permitting.
This was an incredibly powerful storm, and the damage coming out of Millard County is remarkable.

FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS continue for parts of central and southern Utah today as monsoon moisture brings another round of storms to the region.
Goblin Valley State Park is reminding visitors to stay out of canyons when rain is in the forecast, even if the chance appears low.
The San Rafael Swell, including Goblin Valley, has faced repeated flash flood threats this week. Storms miles away can send water rushing through normally dry washes and narrow canyons with little warning.

1/x There is one rule in shipbuilding: below the waterline, a hull is symmetric about its centreline. Port mirrors starboard, always. In 2014, a shipyard in Helsinki delivered a ship whose underwater hull is lopsided on purpose. Meet Baltika.

Tesla Sentry Mode caught this incident in broad daylight — a parked car, and the thief immediately goes for what’s left inside. 👀📹
The footage captured the entire incident, including the suspect’s face.
⚠️ A good reminder, especially when traveling abroad: keep the cabin completely empty and make sure Sentry Mode is enabled when parking.

Elon says SpaceX is building a turbine-blade factory in the U.S. to accelerate natural gas turbines deployment by up to 18 months for their AI datacenters. Long term plan is to use solar panels built by SpaceX and Tesla.
Earlier this month, Tesla filed an application to build a $10.1 billion vertically integrated solar cell manufacturing facility in Fort Bend County, Texas, aiming to start construction this year and finish in 2028, with commercial operations starting in Q1 2029.
🇺🇸 A White House teleprompter operator has been ordered to pay $172,000 after using nonpublic information about Trump’s upcoming speeches to bet on prediction markets.
Gabriel Perez must repay $107,539 in profits, pay a $65,000 fine and stay off prediction markets for three years.
The awkward part may be questions arising over Trump condemning this while being the largest shareholder in the Truth API service that sells early access to his Truth Social posts.

BREAKING: The same Ferrari Luce that crashed the stock 8% on reveal day just sold for $40 million at a charity auction.
That is 36 times its retail price of €550,000.
The buyer is 87 year old billionaire Herbert Wertheim.
He could net over $13 million back in tax deductions from the purchase.
Proceeds from the sale go to the Ferrari Foundation's education programs.
When Ferrari first unveiled the Luce, a 1,050-horsepower EV, the stock crashed 7.57% that same day.
Since the Luce launch, $RACE stock is up 36%, recovering fully from the initial selloff.
Investors had doubted buyers wanted a silent, heavy EV from a brand built on scarcity and combustion engines.
This sale is the clearest sign yet that demand for Ferrari's EV exists at the very top of the buyer pool.
SpaceX has introduced a new @Starlink Maritime plan for small boat owners called "Personal Maritime."
Personal Maritime keeps you connected on the water as you move between countries, without the 30-day Roam travel limit.
• $185/month USD
• Unlimited data and use in territorial waters worldwide
• Ocean Mode available beyond 12 nautical miles for $6/GB
• No 30-day Roam international travel limit, except in extremely rare cases when required by local regulations
This plan is for small personal vessels—not yachts or commercially operated vessels (including ferries and commercial fishing)-and is not intended for use on land.
