Idk Canada laws but in the US doctors/psychs have a legal obligation to request a psyche hold on you if you say anything suicidal and/or homicidal. If they don’t they can be sued

Some people get released on less severe crimes after a few years if they’re no longer deemed a danger. Some people are never released.

@dianekaylacy @C_3C_3 Also just because you’re deemed mentally incompetent to stand trial doesn’t mean you just go home or avoid punishment. They’re sent to facilities to make them competent. If that doesn’t work they go to mental hospitals. Which one could argue is worse than prison lol
