⭕️ Gaza Short Film Documents Collaborator Militias Living in Luxury Under Israeli Protection East of “Yellow Line”

A short documentary circulating on social media, produced by researcher Mujamma Haraket, details the lives of Palestinian collaborator militias operating east of the so-called “Yellow Line” — the buffer zone Israel has imposed in eastern Gaza under Israeli military protection.

The film draws on photos obtained by Gaza-based investigative journalists abroad showing militia members sleeping, eating, playing billiards, and displaying weapons — while the rest of Gaza’s population faces daily bombardment and starvation.

“Today, he takes selfies, holds barbecue parties, and distributes cigarettes,” the narrator says of collaborators who previously hid their identities out of fear of exposure. “But at the same time, he does not dare to approach areas where the honorable Palestinian, the son of the country, is always stationed.”

The film describes these same militias as presenting themselves as Gaza’s future rulers, while describing them as “a gang of spies stealing aid” with “no prestige, no project, no national history, no popular support.” It notes that many have been disowned by their own families.

The Yellow Line militias operate in areas controlled by Israeli drones and tanks, and the film accuses them of attacking homes and killing civilians to expand the occupation’s buffer zone.

Israel has a policy called “administrative detention” that allows them to kidnap Palestinians and imprison them for 6 month increments without any charges whatsoever. These holdings can drag out for years.

Over 3,000 Palestinians were being held on administrative detention in Israeli prisons on October 7. That’s why Hamas took all those Israelis back to Gaza. To exchange for their release.

But do you see how that works? When Israel kidnaps people and holds them for months and years on end, they are simply “prisoners on administrative detention.” But when Hamas does it, they are “hostages.”
