@LiveNLetThrive Argentine tango also good for posture. I'll never forget my teacher in Buenos Aires telling me to walk "como un gallo" chest proudly out, chin up, strutting
@eugyppius1 The Church is a living thing and like all living things it has a will to grow, to gain strength, to devour. Otherwise it would perish. Europe is spent, only Africa and Latin America can nourish it. A mere pope cannot change that.
@Iwantto61363220@cartographer_s@Peter_Nimitz Yes. Park and Chun were army generals so it made sense the army was behind them. Yoon wasn’t, I don’t know why he believed the army would back him.
@BohunkSupremacy I don’t have an explanation but I noticed that American traffic lights go straight from red to green (driver just lets go of the brake and goes) while in Europe they go to yellow first to give the driver time to shift from neutral to 1st.
A major reason that it didn’t make sense to use AI to write an essay about a substantive topic is that until you write the essay you don’t actually know what you want to say or what you think. You think you do, but it is the writing itself that actually gets the thinking done.
@shylockh The only thing that works for me is aggressive muting of any slop. Like bringing a blowtorch to the fridge and periodically burning all junk to a crisp. It takes discipline.
@DanDavisWrites The bad luck of the poor guy... He comes back and Greeks are like "Hey Alexander just conquered Egypt and Persia! Did you see the loot? What did you bring from your travels?" "Um tin and mackerel..."
@policytensor Market price GDP numbers get way too much respect. They do not meaningfully measure the size of consumer markets because prices get out of whack. They are good for measuring international trade (capacity to import / export), not much else.
