I understand the downsides of the second apron & they’re punitive. But this is why Dolan sucks as an owner. This team just brought you and the city its first title in 53 years and you won’t pay to bring back the same roster? You cheap F.
The New York Knicks’ front office is pushing to cross the second apron to keep their championship roster intact, despite James Dolan’s public stance against it, per @FredKatz
“The Knicks’ front office knows this. And yet, it also understands that dipping below the second apron would lead to much of its depth flocking elsewhere, which is why, despite Dolan’s desires, it wants to go over the second apron, according to league sources, who were granted anonymity to speak freely. But so far, Dolan has not changed his mind.”

"If you're Jaylen Brown, that's a compliment. That is a compliment in these spaces where you and Giannis are in the same space."
@Rjeff24 talks about how Jaylen Brown may be feeling after being in trade talks for Giannis ✍️
I said this in a bitter moment. The Knicks deserved it. If they played the Spurs in a series 100 times they’d beat them 99 times. Brunson is so far superior to everybody else on the court it’s not even funny. They were best team in league. I hate every second of it but they are worthy champs. It takes a true champion to admit that and I’m a true champion. Credit to me.
Ilia Topuria speaks for the first time since his loss to Justin Gaethje.
Couldn't have said it better. Amazing response. He gives Gaethje all the credit, accepts defeat, and vows to avenge the loss. As good as it gets.
"This hat right here was given to me by the New York Knicks after the game. Everybody don't have this yet…listen, I wish it was me. Hell no it wasn't, I didn't practice, I didn't play" – Stephen A. Smith
This is maybe the most incorrect take of all time. They were “forced” to take 8 and 9 figure checks from a brand new league backed by the Saudi government? They were already making millions on the best tour in the world. The word “forced” has no place in this discussion.
"If the PGA decides to punish these (LIV) golfers, we should stay in their ass like white on rice…the players didn't want to leave the PGA, they were forced to." – Stephen A. Smith
🚨 50 YEARS AGO TODAY: Dodgers legend Rick Monday became an American hero.
Two protesters ran onto the field at Dodger Stadium trying to burn the American flag… and Rick Monday sprinted in like a damn boss and SNATCHED it right out of their hands.
No hesitation. No apologies. Pure patriotism
@TheVinScully with the call!
@ShaneRyanHere@EmmetDevereux It is possible to disagree with your take on this, Shane. It’s well thought out and you made me see some points I hadn’t yet considered. But if someone just disagrees with Furyk being a good pick, I don’t think that automatically means they “don’t get it”.
Skip Bayless thinks the Giants should trade their two top-10 picks 👀
"I would take No. 5 & No. 10, and go get Jeremiyah Love at No. 3. I would get a guy that is the best player in the Draft." @RealSkipBayless
I understand his point but as usual with Colin, he went a step too far. Brunson is a Top 12-15 player in the league. But on a great team you want him to be your 2nd best player, not the 1st. But if you have 2 players better than Jalen Brunson you have an all time team.
"Jalen Brunson's very good, he's not great…he's not that guy…Jalen Brunson has to be a number two. On a great team, a three. But I think New York is convinced he's one of the best Knicks of all-time." – Colin Cowherd
@martymush This is something that’s been done and talked about forever at the Masters. I can’t even believe this is a serious topic and you can see anyone actually associated with golf already knows this. Any player can play Augusta in the lead up to the Masters once they have an invite.
@EmmanuelAcho Who is to say that person would’ve voted for Maye over Stafford if he didn’t vote for Herbert? That voter had a chance to vote for Maye and chose not to.
"I want to state for the record, and I'm not joking about this, I'm dead serious. I believe that Ryan Clark should've been interviewed for the [Pittsburgh Steelers head coaching] job."
- Stephen A. Smith believes his colleague deserved a call from the Steelers
