🚨 BREAKING:
The United Nations has officially declared Gaza a genocide zone, noting that Israel is deliberately targeting children and infants.
It took them three full years to reach this conclusion.
Delighted to present my work at the Seminario de Futuros Urbanos, @facultadeXH, University of Santiago de Compostela:
“Challenging Opacity in Participation: Representation, Inequality, and Vulnerability in Research with Migrant Fishermen in Scotland.”
We are grateful to MSP Allan for hosting a parliamentary exhibition featuring the MATILDE Research project on Migration to the Western Isles fishing communities https://t.co/49SocsECGP

I enjoyed meeting with the EU-funded ‘MATILDE’ research project from the University of Parma in Italy on migration's socio-economic impact in rural areas of Scotland.
This 3-year project highlights the challenges and examines the impact of migration and the lack of resources they face in regards to stability networks and financial support.
It is essential for migrants in the UK to feel safe and supported, as well as given the resources and assistance they require.

Northern #Gaza: no end to hell.
At least 400,000 people are trapped in the area.
Recent evacuation orders from the Israeli Authorities are forcing people to flee again & again, especially from Jabalia Camp.
Many are refusing because they know too well that no place anywhere in #Gaza is safe.
@UNRWA shelters + services are being forced to shut. Some for the first time since the war began.
With almost no basic supplies available, hunger is spreading & deepening again.
This recent military operation also threatens the implementation of the second phase of the #polio vaccination campaign for children.
Children are as ever, the first & most to suffer.
They deserve so much better, they deserve a
#CeasefireNOW, they deserve a future.
