@wholemars But clearly FSD Beta IS NOT L4 if you understand the levels. They have nothing to do with the scope of the system"s ability. It is purely down to the amount of oversight required. L2 means a driver is still reqd to supervise the system which it does. Even Tesla agree with this.

@wholemars You have missed the point. This is not a compliment from Dan O'Dowd. He along with others argue FSD Beta is L4 based on "design intent", i.e. it was originally designed to become L4. L4 systems mandate more regulatory oversight which is what Dan wants to stifle open testing.
