@DrMakaryFDA @US_FDA Clinical trials are very expensive and are funded by big pharmaceutical companies. The profit motive means only new expensive drugs are trialed.
A better system might be trials run by the FDA itself, which could trial repurposed drugs. New drugs could be trialed by paying FDA $.
