Whatever I think of this home, the carers are having a hell of a day. New resident arrived in ambulance- since then he’s done nothing but yell, bang on furniture and smash windows. Been in and out of ambulances all afternoon but his wife said‘I’m not bloody having him back!’
I asked for an extra blanket because I was cold the other night (heating still not fixed). I haven’t dared ask for a new bed or something to chew or I’ll probably get a basket and a rubber bone.
.
Heating in my room not worked since I moved in a couple of months ago. Keep telling care staff and they said they’d talk to the handyman. Still no sign of him.
Currently more than twenty guests dressed to the nines, waiting in the conservatory to celebrate a resident’s birthday with a surprise party - decorations, music, food etc
Unfortunately, management failed to mention this to the staff…
Just had a carer ask me for a stool sample so they could ‘test it for something’. After an hour of stress and worry I asked the in-house nurse what they were looking for and she just looked confused and said ‘No, not you.’
Hope you slept well last night. Mine was filled with the usual shouts and screams, unanswered personal alarms and a visit from Meg - a lank white-haired resident in white nightdress who wanders the corridors day in, day out like a ghost. She asked where she was and why then left.
